Daisy has always been interested in how things work. For her first career, she practiced as a tax and corporate lawyer. Then in the family and householder system as a full time mom. In her thirties, Daisy found her way to the Traditional Acupuncture Institute. Five Element acupuncture sees a person as nature, not separate from it.  So, we ask, how is the sun shining in this person, and what about the waterways?  What is running smoothly and well? What is challenged? As East Asian Medicine practitioners, we know that everything can affect everything else; so we look for patterns and how systems are working.

Daisy has taught acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and qi gong over three decades. She has also studied yoga, qi gong and somatics internationally, becoming a yoga teacher (500 RYT) and Embodied Flow (™) Somatic Movement Therapist. Daisy practices with and leads mindfulness communities in the Plum Village tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Daisy is particularly fond of walking pilgrimages and the use of essential oils within the ancient Chinese herbal medicine tradition.

Daisy offers sessions in person at her Charles Village studio in Baltimore City as well as on Zoom.

I had surgery on a ruptured disc about six years ago, and since then have had seemingly random periodic episodes of strong pain. After bouncing around the medical system and largely relying on pharmaceuticals to deal with the pain, I began working with Daisy. She was the first and only practitioner who offered me awareness and understanding of my body and my back. She taught me very practical remedies to my pain - movements, stretches, and breathing - that have provided much needed relief in times of pain and inflammation and practices I continue to do that prevents episodes from occurring. She’s a nurturing, engaged, and creative woman that provided me with the resources and perspective I needed to stop persistent cycles of pain. ”

“Daisy has a really wonderful way of listening deeply to what I present and offering feedback that is insightful, honoring/supportive, and productive, that allows me to look at situations in new ways and shift my perspective. I find her to be very enlightening. She is so clear minded, perceptive, and brings a global perspective to the discussion. She offers suggestions so that once the session is over, I feel empowered to move forward in my life with confidence. Daisy has cultivated so many aspects of herself that what I experience is the openness, clarity and wisdom of a true healer. And she does this all with love! ”

“After a session with Daisy I was stunned by the realization that I have spent so much of my life feeling separate from my body! I did not notice how disconnected I was from the felt sense that I now realize holds so much more accurate information for me.How is it that we have allowed the mind to hold dominion over our experiences?I found this work remarkable - the dropping down into sensing below the story. Daisy took me to places I’ve never been before in my being with a gentle yet probing curiosity. More than anything, during the session I was able to love and accept parts of myself that I had previously held in great contempt.”
